EPJ Exams

We have developed a proprietary EPJ exam for English, German and French (other languages on demand) available on request to corporate and institutional customers.

EPJ allows us to measure in detail language competencies as well as to determine the examinee's language proficiency level in line with the standards of the Common European Framework of Reference. The examination tests the skill of practical application of a foreign language in terms of: grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, speaking.
Vital advantage of the EPJ exam is in that the examinee does not declare the level he or she is at prior to sitting the exam. The result determines at what language level the examinee is. Written and oral testing under the exam allows us to assess language competencies considering the examinee's individual aptitude. The exam is not limited to the multiple-choice test but gives examinees an opportunity to build fuller statements. Examinees can sit the written part electronically.
The exam is also used as an efficient tool to monitor language proficiency development, as it consistently and clearly determines language progress irrespective of the location and methodology of foreign language learning. Every interaction with a foreign language affects the result of the exam.

We hold exam sessions for groups and individuals at locations and on dates convenient for the Customer (Customer's premises or premises provided by us) after 14 days from the date of the relevant order.

Each examinee receives the evaluation sheet with an individual language progress report. Additional reports and tailored certificates are also available at the request of our Customers. Results are available after: 10 days

In terms of structure, the exam consists of 5 parts:
I. Grammar - test containing 20 multiple choice questions; it tests familiarity with grammatical structures;
II. Vocabulary - test containing 20 multiple-choice questions; it tests familiarity with vocabulary and word collocations;
III. Reading - contains a text and 10 questions to it; it tests reading comprehension skills;
IV. Writing - contains a subject on which the examinee writes a paragraph; it tests the skill of applying internalised language structures in practice;
V. Speaking - the examiner hold a conversation with the examinee, checking how the latter uses the internalised language structures in practice.
Written parts (I, II, III, IV) combined take 60 minutes.
